Looking for hotel bodrum, hotel yalikavak? Please read the following travel reviews: "small luxury hotel near bodrum" Aug 23, 2008: A TripAdvisor Member, Paris, France If you want a small, peaceful hotel , not far from bodrum, it is perfect the rooms are big with balcony . we had a nice view. the breakast and dinner were very tasty and with fresh products. the pool is big and there are only 8 rooms. you feel more like a stay with some remote family than in an anonymous hotel . the owner are a german-tukish nice couple. they can advise on the tours around (ephesus) and are very friendly. it is on hill, a bit far from the sea. it is better to have a car to go to the village which is on the sea side. we stayed there a week . it was exactly what we needed. we strongly recommend it for a people who want privacy, calm and avoid the tourist mass . "A jewel at the tip of the Bodrum Pensinsula" Aug 17, 2008: A TripAdvisor Member, Brighton The Lavanta
Hotel is a very special place. Perched on a hill above the small charming
port village of Yalikavak, it provided my family with one of our most
memorable holidays. For seven days we enjoyed the beautiful and spacious
pool, lush bougainvillea and oleander in full bloom and exquisite Turkish
food and hospitality. I travelled to Turkey specifically to experience the
Lavanta Hotel based on the ecstatic reviews on TripAdvisor as well as a
gushing review in a British national newspaper. And my already high
expectations were exceeded by a long way. Aug 17, 2008: A TripAdvisor Member, Kiev
I noticed there was no review
for 2008. My wife (Russian) and I (American) have just returned from
Lavanta. It is easy to be seduced by descriptions of the Greek islands. But
Turkey is a jewel in the crown. Once there, it is hard to think of being any
place else. "Merveilleux hôtel" Aug 11, 2007: A TripAdvisor Member, Paris, France Séjour exceptionnel: la situation, l'accueil, le confort, les dîners sont excellents! "A Special Experience" Jan 11, 2007: A TripAdvisor Member, USA You must
Visit Lavanta. This is a special place situated in the foothills above the
charming fishing village of Yalikavak and located equi-distant between
Turbuku, the purported San Tropez of Turkey and Bodrum. Staying at Lavanta
is like being a houseguest at a beautiful villa with none of the
obligations. The owners are a wonderful German - Turkish couple who have the
perfect balance of warmth and efficiency. One never has the sense that
making a request is an imposition or that the staff runs around with their
hands out - for anything. This is a place for low-key sophisticated people
who detest pretence but appreciate value and beauty and want to relax.
Breakfast is leisurely and served on the upper patio overlooking the sea.
Dinners are special and worth having on site. While you can walk to
Yalkikavak, I would rent a car to have the freedom to explore. "Beautiful!" Oct 08, 2006: A TripAdvisor Member, Sydney, Australia The views from our beautifully appointed room and the dining areas were lovely. The food was great and the owners and staff were friendly and helpful. This was a great place to relax and enjoy a wander around the coast. Our 5 yr old son just loved the pool and talking to the staff who always had lots of time for him. We wished we could have stayed longer! We would highly recommend the Lavanta Hotel to anyone. "Lavanta is Paradise away from home" Oct 02, 2006: A TripAdvisor Member, Ontario, Canada Our stay in Turkey was exceptional but the highlight of the trip was without any doubt the two days that we stayed with Maria and Tosun at their incredible oasis at Yalikavik. Perched high on a hilltop, our beautifully decorated room with balcony overlooked the harbour. The sunsets were stunning. The home cooked meals were as good as any we enjoyed in Turkey but the final banquet that they put together for ourselves and 10 friends will be forever memorable. As an avid nature photographer, I came home with some of the best shots of plants and flowers I have ever experienced in my travels. All located throughout the splendid gardens so beautifully and painstakingly cared for by Maria. Lavanta is a tranquil setting that is perfect for a few days of quiet and relaxation at whatever point in your visit to Turkey you wish. I have recommended it to all of our friends who will be travelling to this wonderful country and they plan to make it a part of their journey as well.
"Lavanta is a Jewel of the
Aegean"
We were referred to the Lavanta
Hotel by Tussock Cruising, as an ideal place to stay both before and after a
week of sailing aboard a 12-person gulet in the Aegean. We were six couples
from Canada and England and did not have particularly high expectations
prior to our arrival in Turkey. BOY ... WE"RE WE SURPRISED! The owners of
Lavanta Hotel, Maria and Tosun, could not have been more gracious or
attentive. The food was exceptional and the location superb! Whether lazing
around the spacious swimming pool overlooking the Aegean, or eating around a
glass table surrounded by a multitude of colourful flowers, we were all
amazed by the tranquility. The room were decorated with individual taste and
were airy and spacious. We were sad to leave! In fact, we're determined to
go back and stay for a week or two the next time we visit Europe.
"Looking
for a paradise?"
Look no further; we have
discovered Paradise. We have stayed at the Lavanta Hotel in the lovely
village of Yalikavak (near Bodrum) in Turkey. All the guests are personally
welcomed by the owners: Maria and Tosun Merey. Hosts to perfection. They
make you feel like you never want to leave. As soon as you step onto the
terrace you are captured by the stunning view; right down the hill,
overlooking the village you look straight to the bay, the sea, you can see
Greek islands and a part of the coastline.

Road directions: From the airport there are road signs how to come to Bodrum and to Yalikavak. Take direction Bodrum. Short before arriving to Bodrum, there is a deviation turning to right with a sign saying Yalikavak. After the deviation you drive through the little villages of Torba and Gundogan, a ride through a forest of around 20 km. However, if you miss this sign, the road going through Bodrum leads also to Yalikavak. When you come in Yalikavak you'll arrive in a round about. Drive around 100 meters (not more) literally down to Yalikavak, turn to left (there is our sign on the left of the road, it's according to the local standards around 1m above the road level, so pls look down) and drive down the large, asphalted road. On the next junction turn left ( there are Lavanta signs all the way). Just for the case: our phone nr. is 0252 3852167.
